Here is the definition of the word obstacle: a thing that blocks one's way or prevents or hinders progress. What if the things we perceive as obstacles in life were not actually obstacles? What if obstacles were actually?

This is my trademarked acronym for an obstacle; Opportunities Beyond Stagnant Thinking Allowing Complete Life Experiences™. Often times, the limiting thoughts and beliefs we create in our mind become obstacles. In addition, events that occur in our lives can be perceived as a negative and therefore an obstacle. But what if these obstacles were actually opportunities presenting themselves to you?
A cycling accident resulting in a fractured collarbone and a severe concussion could easily be perceived as an obstacle. But, what if this was actually an opportunity presenting itself to you, allowing your first book to be written?
A diving accident resulting in a broken neck and becoming an incomplete quadriplegic could easily be perceived as an obstacle. But, what if this was an opportunity presenting itself to you, allowing you to go on to compete in the Paralympics and set a world record in the discus?
A limiting thought such as, “I just cannot lose weight no matter what I do”, could easily be perceived as an obstacle. But, what if this “obstacle” was actually an opportunity presenting itself to you, allowing you to become one of 5 women in the country selected for the MORE magazine body transformation issue because of the amazing results you achieved?
When a professor believes that one of his students is “really going to struggle”, could easily be perceived as an obstacle to the student. But, what if this was actually an opportunity presenting itself to the student; and 4 years later, the entire faculty awards this student as the “most likely to succeed.”
Obstacles will no longer be perceived as obstacles. Rather, obstacles will simply become Opportunities Beyond Stagnant Thinking Allowing Complete Life Experiences. What opportunities are being presented to you that are currently perceived as obstacles?
